Skating, laser tag, arcade, and a snack bar on-site — an easy, kid-proof way to kick off the weekend. Saturday hours run 12–9 PM (adults-only session after 9:30).
Directions ↗On the road this year, so no local tailgate — just needs a screen. Watching at home works fine, or we scout a sports bar if everyone wants to get out of the house.
About 35 minutes north. A genuinely impressive collection, and Lincoln's at a good age for it. There's also an on-site café for lunch without an extra stop.
Directions ↗A few minutes from Savoy — minerals and gems, fossils, a planetarium, and its own car and locomotive gallery. Easy to pair both into one Cartersville day.
Directions ↗Depends entirely on how the playoffs shake out by then. If they're still alive, The Battery is worth the trip either way — plenty of dining right there even without a ticket.
Directions ↗Falls right on the visit weekend — Sat 10 AM–5 PM, Sun 11 AM–5 PM. 80+ chalk artists transform the square, plus food trucks, live music, and an arts market. Saturday only also has a ticketed craft beer festival, 12–5 PM. Overlaps with Sparkles and the Savoy/Battery plans, so it's more of an option than an add-on to everything else.
Directions ↗A flat, paved 4.5-mile greenway along the creek — wetlands, bridges, boardwalks. Easy, flexible outdoor option if everyone wants to stretch their legs between the bigger plans.
Directions ↗Weekly music trivia, wings, and a craft beer list. A late one for a Sunday — worth weighing against everything else already on the books for that day.
Directions ↗Walking distance from the house — New York–style pizza, wings, and pasta. Good call for Saturday night in, right alongside the Georgia/Alabama game.
Directions ↗Board games, consoles, and PC gaming alongside a full bar and kitchen — dinner and entertainment in one stop, and Lincoln-friendly. About 25 minutes from the house. Their old Marietta location closed back in 2014, and their newer Battery Atlanta spot was reported closed as of December 2025, though their own site still lists it as open — worth a call before counting on either of those. Sandy Springs is the one I'm confident is current.
Directions ↗Southern breakfast & lunch, all day — biscuits and gravy, breakfast skillets, shrimp and grits. Good call for a Saturday or Sunday morning before heading out.
Directions ↗Veteran-owned sports bar and American comfort food, decorated with military memorabilia — family-friendly with a full bar and menu.
Directions ↗This is the location you may remember as the Woodstock Dwarf House — it was rebuilt and renamed Truett’s Chick-fil-A back in 2021, same full-serve table setup, now with Truett Cathy history on the walls. Closed Sunday, so Saturday only.
Directions ↗
4.8★ Mexican taqueria right in Kennesaw — tacos, tortas, sopes, burritos. Mon–Wed 11–3, Thu–Sat 11–8, Sun 11–7.
